According to a new report from the Insured Retirement Institute, 48% of middle income baby boomers are not comfortable making investment decisions. Additionally, the report stated that 43% have contacted an investment adviser. These figures are astounding because many of these people will be, or have been, forced to jump into shark infested waters without the proper defenses. The investment world, to be entered successfully, must be viewed as similar to, for example, the medical or legal professions. Most people don’t simply diagnose themselves, and those who are prudent will follow the timeless wisdom of seeking a second opinion. Likewise, most people don’t represent themselves in legal matters, and when they hire an attorney they don’t trust them with their entire nest egg.

In the investment world, investors need to understand that whenever they go directly to an investment adviser or stock broker, the advisers have an inherent conflict of interest, i.e., they get paid large sums of money by the client to manage the client’s money. As a result, advisers put on their “salesman’s hat” when they are in front a potential client. Sadly, many advisers are dishonest. These dishonest advisers will say anything to get your business at the outset; later, usually within months, the investors realize that what was promised is not what has been delivered.

For this reason, Wittenberg Law has set up $mart $treet Investors, a platform formally known as the “Investment Scam Prevention Program,” to serve investors without any conflict of interest concerning the financial decisions. “In light of the billions of dollars that are stolen every year from innocent investors by their advisors or brokers, especially in recent years, investors who don’t join $mart $treet Investors will be left on Main Street to fend for themselves against the Wall Street sharks. That is a very dangerous proposition,” stated Jeffrey Wittenberg.

Mr. Wittenberg continued, “I have been contacted by an elderly investor who placed millions with an advisor and subsequently learned that his retirement funds were no longer available to him because his adviser was a fraudster. I also have been contacted by a young investor who placed $10,000 with an adviser at the recommendation of his close friends, only to learn that his adviser was running a ponzi scheme and his money was lost forever. In each of these cases, these investors could have joined $mart $treet Investors for a very low cost, and could have avoided the disaster scenario they found themselves in.”

Don’t wait any longer. If you’re not on Wall Street, and you’re tired of being a sheep on Main Street, call Jeffrey Wittenberg at (877) 352-2010 to move to $mart $treet Investors.
